OIL-WATER SEPARATION SOLUTIONS

At TECNIPLANT we create solutions for oil and water separation systems for industrial plants.

Flotation is a very effective technique for purifying water by separating products (oils and solids) that have a specific weight.

Generally speaking, flotation is a process for treating wastewater from the industrial sector that uses successive processes and steps to allow its reuse.

We have three main solutions in our line dedicated to oil and water separation systems.

I separatori API\CPI sono separatori a piastre corrugate

API/CPI SEPARATORS

API/CPI separators are corrugated plate separators used to treat oily water, suspended solids and oil globules.

In water treatment, these tools use the principle of gravity separation based on the difference in specific weight between the phases:

  • oil
  • solid
  • water

FLOTATORS

Flotators are ideal for treating industrial wastewater.

These instruments enable water clarification in various types of plants.

In addition, they are ideal for removing pollutants in the liquid, such as oil and grease of various kinds.

I miscelatori statici sono strumenti di miscelazione in linea

STATIC MIXERS

Static mixers are in-line mixing devices.

The mixing action is achieved through the continuous division, extension and transport of the components.

In general, these solutions can be used in a wide range of process operations.

THE OIL-WATER FLOTATION OR SEPARATION PROCESS IN THE INDUSTRIAL FIELD

The flotation process is one of the most efficient solutions in an industrial setting for removing oil and suspended solids in water.

The oil-water separation process drastically reduces chemicals and the formation of waste products.

This is why flotation is ideal, especially when large quantities of impurities are involved and, consequently, advanced separation performance is required.

There are different types of oil-water separation processes:

  • Using gravity, in which the particles have a lower specific weight than water and rise in suspension naturally.
  • With air and dissolved gas, or with induced gas, in which a stream of fine bubbles and micro-bubbles attach themselves to the solids in the water and bring them to the surface.
