<strong>must first undergo<\/strong> constantly <strong>monitored purification<\/strong>.<\/p><p>This process must be carried out according to Italian and EU regulations, which provide for actions necessary to achieve or maintain the good quality status of surface or deep waters, protecting them from pollution.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">THE TREATMENT AND PURIFICATION OF INDUSTRIAL WASTE WATER FOR SUSTAINABLE MANAGEMENT<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2a60c42 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"2a60c42\" convert waste and refuse water into <strong>purified water<\/strong>.<\/p><p>Treatments are ideal for the <strong>purification<\/strong> of both <strong>industrial waste fluids and storm water<\/strong>.<\/p><p>In this way, the purified fluids can be returned to the water cycle, or, they can be used within industrial processes or irrigation.<\/p><p>Wastewater purification takes place in <strong>special plants<\/strong> and is usually structured in <strong>several stages<\/strong>, during which toxic substances are removed from the liquid waste.<\/p><p>The type of treatment to be used depends on the final destination or use of the water, but in general, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tecniplant.it\/en\/wastewater-treatment\/\"><strong>processes involved in the separation of contaminants<\/strong><\/a> include six stages:<\/p><ol><li><strong>Pre-treatment<\/strong>, this is a mechanical operation involving the coarse screening stage, the equalisation stage and the oil separation stage.<\/li><li><strong>Primary treatment<\/strong>, consists of chemical or physical operations to remove materials that could create problems in subsequent stages.<\/li><li><strong>Secondary treatment,<\/strong> involves the removal of biodegradable organic substances.<\/li><li><strong>Tertiary treatment<\/strong>, serves to remove non-biodegradable organic substances, ions, macromolecules, nutrients and odours.<\/li><li><strong>Disinfection<\/strong>, serves to remove microorganisms and bacteria.<\/li><li><strong>Sludge treatment<\/strong>,
